Participants Overview

A total of 20 teachers were selected from sixteen public secondary schools in the Northern Education Division (NED). These teachers teach Computer Studies in their respective schools and participation in the project was open to both gender.

Besides teachers, thirty-two (32) students benefited from the project as the teachers were tasked to train students to show the ripple effect of the knowledge they gained in the project.

Community of Practice

The project aimed at building a community of practice among CS educators to enable collaboration in the development and use of open source resources.

It has a component of peer support through ten local community meet-ups and an online Google+ CS teachers group where teachers will give comments on curriculum, ask questions, provide answers, and share experiences to promote best practices.
